The
PCAN FD range of interfaces conform to the latest FD standard. These
interfaces are compatible with the CAN 2.0A/B standard but are also capable
of operating to the CAN FD (CAN Fast Data) standard in which the data
segment is transmitted at up to 12Mbits/sec and can be up to 64 bytes long.
These enhancements result in a throughput of improvement over 2.0A/Bs
320Kbits/sec to FDs 3.7Mbits/sec.
For details of how this is achieved see our
updated CAN, CAN FD Tutorial
CAN-FD data rate up to 12Mbits/sec
Switchable for ISO and Non-ISO error handling
Time stamp resolution 1 μs
Option to Terminate CAN channel
Extended operating temperature range -40 to 85
°C
Can measure and report bus load
For test purposes can generate errors on incoming
and outgoing messages
Free software
The PCAN-Basic-FD software package is included to
drive the USB modules from within 32 and 64 bit versions of W8.1, 7, Vista
and Linux. It provides simple interfaces to C++,
C#, C++/CLR, Delphi, VB, .NET,Java and Python 2.6. The PCAN-View-FD
package is a useful Windows diagnostic program that
displays and logs all messages on the bus as well as allowing manual creation of test
messages and error diagnostics.
Also Available
Are a set of drives for time critical
multi-threaded applications and the PCAN- Explorer package that provides advanced CAN bus diagnostics,
reporting and
control capabilities. Explorer supports J1939 and there is also a PCAN-FMS package to operate with that standard.
