Peak USB to CAN 2.0 A/B Interfaces We can supply a number of CAN-USB interfaces all of which share the following features :- support both 11 bit ID and 29 bit ID CAN specifications with a maximum speed of 1MBaud. They conform to both the 2.0 A and B standards No termination is included in the interface. PCAN-USB interfaces are supplied with PCAN-VIEW a program that provides simple CAN diagnostics as well as DLLs and example source code for programs to control the CAN bus. PCAN-USB Hub A combination of CAN interface, two RS232 links and a dual port USB Hub. Its robust aluminium casing makes the PCAN-USB Hub suitable for mobile applications. PCAN USB FD --- conforms to the new high speed CAN standard The new CAN-FD standard increases the data throughput of a CAN system while retaining the ability to talk to CAN 2.0 A & B modules. It does this by retaining much of the 2.0 packet structure but using one reserved bit to indicate that the data part of the packet is using the new standard. Once an FD enabled device or interface detects this it does two things..... It transmits/receives the data part at a secondary frequency of up to 12 Mbits/sec (v 1 for CAN 2.0) and also it allows the data part of the package to consist of up to 64 bytes (v 8 for CAN 2.0). By doing this it is able to achieve in the order of 3.7 Mbits/sec data throughput.
